We often refer to cockles as see hum and the seas around Shantou are some of the biggest producers of cockles. The documentary shows us how cockles are prepared and enjoyed. People often eat it completely raw in Singapore. I’m not sure if it’s safe, but I guess it’s not easy to get it cooked just right. Believe it or not, I have tried cockles cooked over a ceramic tile in Thailand.
