When I was studying at College of TCM at Toa Payoh, my favourite zer cha stall (open in the daytime) was the very special one at Blk 184. My favourite lunch dishes were either fried beef with rice or seafood Hongkong noodles. Here’s the salted fried rice which is very popular, but not really the chef’s best dish.
The rice looks yellowish because the egg has gone into it, making it a little too moist. Other than that, the salted fish is nice and crunchy. Overall, it’s quite fragrant and tasty.
