Simple Noodles

Simple noodles again. I’ve been walking around 2 food centres last night. The stuff they cooked up were really pathetic, so I decided to go home and make some simple noodles from what I already had in my refrigerator. In this case, it’s fried bee hoon.

You can see most of the ingredients that went into my simple fried bee hoon. Sliced fish balls, sliced shallots, red chilli, cut baby pak choy etc.

The only time-consuming thing about this dish is the bee hoon soaking time. It may take 20-30 minutes for the bee hoon to soak through and be nice and soft. Remember. Be patient. Do not use hot water.

Heat up oil, fry garlic and shallots, dump in the rest, add oyster sauce and hua diao wine and the bee hoon is ready. Cheaper, tastier and maybe even faster than the long queue at the zer cha stall.
