Abalone is another pricey must-have during Chinese New Year. Let me share with you how I prepared it this festive season. Here we have some canned abalone thinly sliced.
Into a pan or wok, add a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil, then some minced garlic. Fry with the sliced abalone.
Some straw mushrooms and prawns as accompaniment. I’ve also added some oyster sauce and huadiao wine. Turn up the heat before adding cornstarch dissolved in abalone stock (from the can)
And here it is. Very fragrant and tasty. A real treat for this festive season.
