Indian Candy – Milk Burfi

This is my first attempt at Indian candy, milk burfi. It seems easy enough on YouTube, so here goes. A double boil method is used to melt together butter, sugar and milk powder.

It’s not easy to mix the components together. The milk powder doesn’t dissolve in the butter even when it’s completely melted. Same goes for the sugar.

I guess this is as homogeneous as it gets. Let the mixture cool down. Add a few drops of rose essence.

Once it has solidified, cut up the burfi and keep it in the refrigerator. High calorie stuff. Eat in moderation.
