I had less than 30 mins to prepare dinner tonight. Here goes:
1. Cut water cress, dump into boiling water. Add oyster sauce, fish cake. Simmer.
2. Beat eggs, cut long beans into beaten egg. Add soya sauce, pepper and secret ingredient. Fry egg.
3. Cut cabbage, fry in mustard oil. Add tumeric powder and soya sauce. Mistook black sesame seeds for mustard seeds, but flavour turned out OK.
My target for every meal: Rice ready. Dishes ready.
I had wanted to take a video of me flipping the egg, but I needed two hands, so no free hand to hold the camera. Anyway, how does one get the egg so fluffy? The secret ingredient is:
Just half a teaspoon of it in your egg makes it nice and fluffy. You don’t need to beat it for 15 mins to produce a froth. So you see, you can prepare dinner in less time than it takes for pizza delivery.
