I’ve not had a lot of good experience with American wines. That’s why I hesitated to open this bottle which was presented to me by a friend and former colleague.
It’s easy to see what it looks like, but the taste and aroma are most important. This being a red wine, I’m looking for tannins and I must say there is not too much of it. The aroma is not particular strong, perhaps mildly citrus. It is definitely light bodied, fruity, slightly on the sweet side and reminds me of cabernet sauvignon.
Unfortunately there is little aftertaste. Still, a very easy wine to drink. I recommend you have it with cashew nuts.
