Monhinga can be considered the national dish of Myanmar. The main ingredients of mohinga include toasted rice powder, garlic, dried shallots and slicked onions, lemongrass, ginger, fish paste, fish sauce, and catfish. Like our mee siam, mohinga is served with beehoon. You can squeeze some lime juice and add chilli powder. Mohinga is still sold the way it was in Singapore 50 years ago.
